Dan Dry is PriceWeber’s image consultant extraordinaire. Dan has won over 400 national and international photography, advertising and design awards. Prior to joining PriceWeber, Dan was chief visual officer and senior vice president at Power Creative for five years, and a member of the creative team for the University of Chicago’s Alumni Relations and Development. He has also been director of the Kentucky Derby photo team for 30 years, and director of photography for the Breeders’ Cup for 31 years. (No, don’t ask him for tickets.)
Dan was a member of the Courier-Journal’s Pulitzer Prize-winning photography staff from 1976 until 1982, and he served two internships at the National Geographic Society, his first at age 19. Dan went on to work at National Geographic, traveling the world to shoot a variety of assignments.
Dan has worked in all phases of corporate and advertising photography, shooting for Fortune 500 companies and advertising agencies, and he’s lectured and mentored students at dozens of colleges and universities around the country, as well as judged countless professional creative competitions.
Dan is currently president of the American Advertising Federation-Louisville, recently recognized as the 2014-2015 AAF National Club of the Year. And to top all that off, Dan is the sole author of over 20 coffeetable books and cookbooks.
